Light up your Fourth of July with these feisty festive fro-yo cupcakes!
You know the standard summertime picnic fare. Strawberry shortcake. Aunt Melda’s gelatin salad. Forty two ounces of beer. Boooooring.
So, how about you shake things up and make a batch of these adorable, simple Frozen Yogurt Cupcakes – perfect for this year’s holiday potluck! Here’s how to get a batch in your own kitchen quick!
Grab two cartons each of the new Yoplait Greek Yogurt. Not just a pretty face here, folks. These little tubs are chock full of goooooodness.
Mix two cartons of each yogurt flavor with four cups of whipped topping. Tint the strawberry red and the blueberry blue. Yummy, yummy in your tummy.
Transfer each of your yogurt delights into zip-top baggies. Then snip the corner of each baggie off and….
Pipe it, baby! Pipe it! Swirl a full half-cup of frozen yogurt on top of your cuppies. Each color should top 8 cupcakes to keep everything even and fair.
Sprinkle a few good red, white, and blue sprinkles up top. Shake some over your shoulder for good luck. Gently transfer your cupcakes to the freezer and leave ‘em there until the yogurt mixture chills into frozen yogurt.
When you’re ready for a cool fireworks show, pull your cupcakes out of the freezer and watch your guests eyes pop right out of the sockets. Fun and fabulous!
