Fashion Week is here, and the new styles are hitting the runway. Roll out your own high fashion with these Edible Stilettos cookies!
Are you “in” or are you “out”?
Imagine I’m a towering blond supermodel asking you this question in my German accent.
Who am I kidding? This short mom of four is so out of touch with what’s actually in style. Especially in Florida, where we really only have one season … summer. With warm weather all year, it’s flip flops and shorts. But that doesn’t mean I can’t fantasize about cute jackets and fun layers with colorful scarves draped around my neck.
When Fashion Week rolls around, all the clothing designers display their latest collections and we all get a sneak peek at the upcoming trends. Fashion week is a little escape from reality to see what I maybe could have with unlimited funds and a personal stylist to keep me cute.
But for now, these cute Edible Stilettos are about as high fashion as I get. And with Fashion Week here, the timing’s perfect for them.
I found these really cute stiletto cookie cutters and made some cookies using a Betty Crocker sugar cookie mix.
To lighten them up a bit (because — hello – watching models doesn’t exactly make you want to eat frosting ), I used flavored yogurts as the frosting. To make some edible bling, I dipped fruit in melted white chocolate and covered it in sprinkles.
I let what little creative juices I have flow and decorated them all as one of a kind “designer” shoes.
