HalOWLween will never be the same. We double-dog dare you to see if you can look at these super easy cookies and not crack a grin.
Whooo is the coolest bird in the kitchen? You are! Because you’ve now got this recipe for Halloween Owl Cookies that’s easy peasy, and oh-so-caaauuuuute!
Open a tube of Pillsbury sugar cookie dough and sprinkle it out with some pumpkin pie spice and flour. The flour added to the dough will allow your sugar cookies to keep their shape once you start to bake ‘em!
Once the dough is prepped, it’s time to cut your new little owl friends out. We’ve simplified the process just in case you can’t find yourself an owl cookie cutter. Simply use a 3″ round cutter, then turn a mini heart cookie cutter upside-down and snip a little part out of the top center of the cookies for the horned-ears.
Just like so. Wondering where to get yourself a lil’ heart cutter like the one pictured above? Look for fondant cutters in the cake-baking section of your local craft store and you should be good to go for less than 5 bucks!
Transfer your cookies to a baking sheet and cook those thangs right up.
Now prep your frosting by whisking together Yoplait vanilla or pumpkin spice yogurt with some chocolate frosting.
Grab your cookies (once they’ve completely cooled, yo), nab yourself a knife, and frost away!
Candy eyes and candy corn is all you need to turn your cookies into owls!
Plate your cookies with a few stray candy corns for the ultimate plate of fall yumminess!
