Three ingredients and you’ve got cookies? Banana Bread Cookies? You better believe it, babychickaroo!

Once upon a time, a wondrous website decided to tell a delicious fairy tale. About bananas. Get on board, yo.

Start with a Betty Crocker cake mix.

It all begins with a box. Because sometimes you have to start in a box to think out of a box. (Cue tinkling sound effects.)

Mix the cake mix, bananas and a little of the frosting together.

In this particular story, the box is joined by two lovely friends: ripe bananas and a tub of vanilla frosting. (Cue friend joke: a cake mix, ripe bananas, and vanilla frosting walked into a bar…)

The friends are tossed into a single batter, holding hands and laughing all the way, as if fairies had touched their little hearts with happy-dust. (Oh, come on. Just go with us. Now that we’ve started, there’s no stopping the madness.)

The batter is baked into beeeeautiful little tarts. (Okay, cookies. Tarts just sounded so much more fairy-tale-ish. We’re narrating in a British accent, you know.)

Drizzle vanilla frosting across the cookie tops.

And the remaining frosting goeth forth to be drizzled across the top fore’rmore. (Cue orchestral swell. It’s getting sappy now.)

Let the frosting set.

At once, a fair maiden spotted the cookies. She sighed. She cried. They were much too pretty to eat.

Garnish Banana Bread Cookies with dried banana chips if you wish.

But then she was like, “Oh no they’re not!” And she piled them on a plate, grabbed a glass of cold milk, and promptly devoured them all in front of the latest episode of Honey Boo Boo.

Banana Bread Cookies ready to eat.

Theeeee End.

Hi ClayLady! A cup of shredded zucchini may very possibly work. Wanna try it, then let us know how it goes? We’d love to hear about a snazzy twist with this fun recipe!

This recipe sounds sooo good and easy. I am going to make this for my hunny tonight and see how he likes them.

I have a question…the banana that you topped the cookie with – fresh slice or did you used dried banana pieces…I am worried a fresh slice will turn brown – or did you dip it in lemon juice to preserve?
