These aren’t the taquitos you’re used to! Creamy, decadent and filling … and super easy, too!
When I think of taquitos, I usually think of small skinny rolled up tortillas with a tiny bit of meat barely detectable inside. It takes about five of the little ones to make me feel like I’ve even started eating.
Not these babies!
These Chicken and Cream Cheese Taquitos are made with full size tortillas and are stuffed to the fullest with a creamy and spicy chicken mixture.
I like to brown mine in a pan with a little oil to get them golden and crispy on the outside so that contrasting creamy center is even more delightful.
Dip ‘em
Usually taquitos are served up as appetizers — but since these are so hearty, they could totally be the main meal. Slice them in half or leave them whole — either way they’re great for dipping. Make a dipping bar with sour cream, guacamole, and salsa for an interactive meal with your friends.
Freezer Friendly
These taquitos are great for making ahead and storing in the freezer so that you can pull them out for a quick and easy meal. Just prepare them as directed and then freeze them. Reheat them in the oven for about 15-20 minutes at 350 degrees and dinner is done!
